New Jersey's Technology Accelerator

Steve has been an angel investor for the past 8 years and an IT professional for 30 years.  His focus is on start-up and early stage companies where he can apply his experience to technology strategy.

Steve was the VP of Global Information Technology for Celgene Corporation, a biopharmaceutical company with over $4.5 billion in sales and about 4500 employees in over 70 countries.  Steve grew the IT capabilities and organization literally from scratch over a dozen years from when the company had 100 people and a couple of million in sales.  One of his innovations was a sales tracking mobile app that he conceived, designed and launched in 2005, at a time before people knew to call it a mobile app.

Prior to joining Celgene, Steve consulted in a variety of industries including warehousing/logistics, clinical research, software/technology and direct mail.  Previously he was IT Director at Enzon, Inc. (now Enzon Pharmaceuticals).  He started his career with Bell Laboratories and Bell Communications Research.

Steve is a member of the Board of Directors of New Jersey Technology Council and is a co-chair of the NJTC CIO Advisory Board.  He is also on the board of JumpStart NJ Angel Network.

Steve was selected CIO of the Year (2010) by the New Jersey Technology Council.  He holds a B.S. in Industrial Economics and an M.S. in Computer Science, earning both in 4 years from Union College, N.Y.  He and his wife live in New Jersey and have two children.
