This is about a combat doctor who served with the forward units. He was in the 7th Army 12th Armored division Combat Command B (CCB) This unit entered combat in November 1944 and was in action untilthe end of the war.
He stayswith this unit for the rest of the war. The result is a remarkably sustained exposition of combat life. Combat began for the Division just north of Naples, Italy. I treated the wounded where they fell.
